Coach Chad Worthen is a former Division 1 coach and Olympic Trials qualifier. He has coached hundreds of individuals to improve beyond what they thought they were capable of. He is of the philosophy that everyone is different and shouldn’t all be coached the same. He currently is coaching athletes ranging in age from 6 to 77 years old. He believes no one is too young or too old to show improvements. He currently holds the position of Head Coach for Fleet Feet Racing Sacramento, Inderkum High School, Oak Hill Racing, and Fleet Feet FIT.

Competitive Background:
Coach Chad began competing in Track and Field his sophomore year at Roseville High School. Starting out a sprinter in High School he started moving up distances in events when he went on to Sierra Junior College in Rocklin and focused on the 400 meters, Long Jump, and the relays. After two years there, he moved up in distance once again when he to CSU Sacramento to the 800 meters. He placed 6th in the America West Conference meet in his final collegiate meet in 1996. Realizing that maybe his potential was in the distance events he continued to move up until running his first Marathon in 1998. Since that time he continued to progress in the event, with the peak being his personal best of 2:22 in 2002, which qualified him for the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials in Birmingham, AL. Chad continues to compete in many road races in the area, looking to once again earn a berth to the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Coach Stacey started running in the 3rd grade.  During this time she also played competitive softball from 3rd to 9th grade.  It was in high school that she had to make a decision between track & field or playing softball for Folsom High, she chose Track.  In High School Stacey was a 400m sprinter, each year qualifying for sections, but coming up just shy of advancing to the California State Meet.  After Folsom High she went to Sierra Junior College.  Her first year she ran the 400 and once again just missed making it to the State Championship.  The next year her coach suggested she do Cross Country to gain some additional endurance to make the move to the 800m.  It was that Track season she advanced to the Junior College State meet and was 9th in the 800m.  With this breakthrough she then transferred to Division I CSU Sacramento with a scholarship in Track and Field.  Stacey continues to be passionate about running competing year round for Fleet Feet Racing Sacramento.
